About Us

Entrance of South Miami/Coral Gables Elks Lodge #1676.

On Thursday nights at 7 p.m., something reliably good happens at Elks Lodge #1676. The open-mike stage fills up, the bar pours honest drinks at honest prices, and a room full of neighbors, veterans, and first-timers discovers it has more in common than it expected. That is the real product here, and it has been since this lodge planted its flag in South Miami.

The annual Jazzfest gives you a taste of what regulars already know: the staff goes out of its way, the food options surprise you, and the atmosphere feels genuinely warm rather than performatively so. Reviewers with four and five stars keep landing on the same word: gem. A 4.5 rating across 118 reviews does not happen by accident; it happens because the people running this place actually care who walks through the door.

The lodge is affiliated with the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, one of the oldest fraternal organizations in America, which means membership connects you to a national network of charitable programs, scholarships, and veteran support. But the reason most people keep coming back is simpler: good music, cold drinks, and a room where everyone already knows your name or is about to.

What We Offer

Lodge membership opens the door to everything: access to the full-bar lounge, discounted event tickets, voting rights on lodge initiatives, and eligibility for BPOE national scholarship and veteran assistance programs. Membership levels accommodate individuals, families, and those with prior Elks affiliations looking to transfer.

On the events side, the Thursday open-mike night is the anchor of the weekly calendar, drawing performers and listeners from across Miami-Dade. The Jazzfest is the marquee annual event, pulling a crowd that fills every seat and keeps the bar busy well into the evening. Private event rentals are available for members hosting celebrations, fundraisers, or community meetings in the lodge's gathering spaces.

The full-service bar stocks a solid range of spirits, beer, and wine at prices that won't make you flinch. Light food is available on event nights, and the kitchen output has drawn specific praise in reviews. Whether you are a longtime Elk or someone who just drove past and got curious, the door is open.

"I go there on Thursday nights at 7 pm to see the open mike performers. It's fun and the music is good. Mostly an older crowd but not always. They have a full bar ,the drinks are not expensive. Then they also have bar food like popcorn and pizzas. Come over and play and sing if you like."

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What an incredible find in South Miami! The Elks Club here is an absolute gem. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with warmth and friendliness from the staff and fellow members alike. The facility is perfect for any occasion; whether you're looking to host a party, a gathering, or a special event, they have ample space and amenities to accommodate your needs. We've rented the place several times for various activities, and each time has been a breeze thanks to their attentive and helpful employees. One of the highlights is our monthly meetings for IBM RING 45 (International Brotherhood of Magicians). The Elks Club provides us with a comfortable and welcoming environment where we can share our love for magic and connect with like-minded enthusiasts. "Really hard to find, so most of the guests at the baby shower held here were late. Nothing ws wrong with it, but it was pretty much a big, empty room to which all the guests brought things. It was to end at 4:00, and someone came in at 3:55 to rush us out!"

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
